What timber do you recommend for decking?
It depends on budget and look — treated pine is economical and reliable, hardwoods like merbau or spotted gum wear beautifully. We'll talk through the trade-offs on site rather than pushing one answer.
Do decks need much maintenance?
A clean and re-oil every year or two keeps timber looking its best. We build so water drains and air circulates, which is most of the battle against rot.
Can you repair an existing deck?
Often, yes — replacing boards, refixing loose sections and refinishing. If the subframe has gone, we'll tell you honestly whether repair or rebuild is the better spend.
